Functions of Examination Committee

The RCE’s Examination Committee plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity, transparency, and efficiency of the examination process. Below are the key functions of the Examination Committee:

  • Examination Planning and Scheduling
    • Develops a comprehensive institute-level examination timetable for mid, end-semester, and supplementary exams.
    • Coordinates with departments to ensure alignment of exam schedules with academic calendars.
  • Question Paper Setting and Moderation
    • Organizes and oversee the Question Paper Setting by external experts, ensuring they align with the curriculum and meet the standards of difficulty.
    • Conduct moderation sessions to verify the quality, accuracy, and relevance of question papers.
  • Pre-Exam Orientation
    • Conducts a pre-exam meeting to brief faculty on examination procedures, roles, and responsibilities, with a report submitted to the Principal.
  • Invigilation and Exam Supervision
    • Assigns invigilators and examination supervisors to maintain discipline and ensure fair examination conduct.
    • Monitors examination halls to prevent malpractices and resolve issues that may arise during exams.
  • Answer Script Collection and Evaluation
    • Ensures the secure collection of answer scripts after each exam session.
    • Coordinates the evaluation process, including appointing examiners and ensuring timely completion of grading.
  • Result Compilation and Declaration
    • Compiles and verifies results, ensuring accuracy before publishing.
    • Announces results within a stipulated timeframe, notifying students of their performance through official channels.
  • Grievance Handling
    • Addresses and resolves grievances related to exam questions, evaluation, and results.
    • Facilitates re-evaluation or re-checking requests as per the college’s policies.
  • Maintenance of Examination Records
    • Securely stores examination records, answer scripts, and result data for future reference.
    • Maintains digital and physical records in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensuring Examination Integrity
    • Implements measures to prevent cheating, impersonation, and other examination malpractices.
    • Ensures all examination rules and protocols are followed strictly by students, faculty, and staff.
  • Coordination with Internal and External Bodies
    • Works closely with academic departments, the administrative office, and external bodies like accreditation agencies/External Institutes to ensure smooth examination operations.
    • Reports examination-related data to affiliating universities and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Policy Development and Continuous Improvement
    • Formulates and update examination policies to reflect changing academic needs and maintain best practices.
    • Reviews feedback from students and faculty post-exams to improve the examination process continuously.
  • Conduct of Supplementary and Special Exams
    • Organizes supplementary exams for students who need to retake courses or have missed exams due to valid reasons.
    • Ensures timely conduct of special exams in compliance with college policies.
  • Oversight of Practical and Viva Examinations
    • Coordinates with departments to schedule and monitor practical and viva examinations.
    • Ensures that all practical exams are conducted according to set protocols, with assessments completed and submitted promptly.

The Examination Committee ensures that the examination process in the autonomous college is fair, systematic, and compliant with institutional and regulatory standards, supporting both academic quality and student success.

Prof. K. Sri Ramulu

Prof Koney Sri Ramulu has 23 years of academic experience in the field of teaching. He received his B.Sc. Degree from Sir CR Reddy Degree College and M.Sc. in Physics from Acharya Nagarjuna University and pursuing his Ph.D. in Material Science from a leading University. His research interests include study of Energy transfer, Lanthanide-doped glasses, Optical properties and spectroscopy, Glass synthesis and characterization, Applications in photonics and telecommunications. He published Two textbooks in the area of Physics and Engineering Mechanics. At his current working institute, he has organized FDPs, guest lectures. He is an ISTE Professional Body Life Member. He gave lectures in several colleges in Andhra Pradesh.

Prof. K. Sri Ramulu is an accomplished academic administrator with extensive experience in managing examination processes and ensuring academic integrity. He brings a deep understanding of educational policies and practices to his role as Controller of Examinations.

With over 23 years of experience in higher education administration, he has held various leadership positions overseeing examination operations, curriculum development, and student assessment. His career has been marked by a commitment to excellence in academic governance and a proactive approach to enhancing assessment methodologies.

As the Controller of Examinations, he a pivotal role in designing and implementing fair and transparent examination policies. He collaborates closely with faculty, department heads, and administrative staff to coordinate examination schedules, manage logistics, and ensure compliance with academic standards and regulations.

Prof. K. Sri Ramulu is known for his strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring that examination processes run smoothly and efficiently. He also champions initiatives to modernize assessment practices, incorporating technology to streamline procedures and enhance the student experience.

Beyond his administrative responsibilities, he is dedicated to promoting academic integrity and fairness in assessments. He provides guidance and training to faculty and staff on best practices in exam administration, integrity policies, and data security protocols

Dr S K B PRADEEPKUMAR Ch is a Associate Professor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering He is currently holding the position of Additional Controller of Examinations at RAMACHANDRA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING (AUTONOMOUS), ELURU He has 14 years of academic experience in the field of teaching. He received his B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad and his M.Tech in High Voltage Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Annamalai University, Chidambaram, Tamilnadu.

His research interests include distributed generation, reliability, renewable energy sources, and Artificial intelligence and optimization techniques. In relation to his research areas, he published 15 international journal papers and 8 conference papers. He published 16 patents in different areas; he published four text books in the area of power systems and power electronics in Lambert Academic Publishing. He was awarded best paper at the International Conference on Electrical Engineering, which was held at Gitam University, Visakhapatnam.

He is a reviewer for the TIJER - INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH JOURNALS, and REST publication house and editorial member in MC Agriculture & Environmental Sciences (ISSN: 2972-2691), JETIR Journal of Emerging Technologies and Innovative Research UGC Approved Journal no 63975 At his current working institute, he has organized 05 FDPs, 2 IPR & Patents workshops, and 5 guest lectures. He is an ISTE Professional Body Life Member. He gave lectures in several colleges in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Gulla Hari Hara Kumar is an accomplished Assistant Professor in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at Ramachandra College of Engineering, Eluru, with a strong background in software engineering and over two years of experience as a Java Developer. He holds an M.Tech in Software Engineering and has consistently demonstrated his expertise in developing web-based applications using technologies such as HTML, Java, and J2EE. With a keen understanding of core Java concepts like Exception Handling and OOPs, he has successfully managed and executed multiple projects, including the development of an online student fee payment system for Ratnam School and a QR code-based ID card system for student information and location tracking. His professional journey is marked by a dedication to leveraging technology to solve real-world problems and enhance user experience.

In addition to his technical skills, he is an enthusiastic participant in extracurricular activities and possesses a positive attitude and a dedicated approach to problem-solving. His contributions to international journals, including papers on wireless ad-hoc networks and IoT-based bold cities, reflect his commitment to advancing knowledge in his field. The membership in professional bodies like ISTE underscores his commitment to staying updated with industry trends and best practices. Known for his energetic and adaptable nature, he excels in dynamic work environments and is adept at dealing with people diplomatically, making him a valuable asset to any organization.
